 Getting Started

>> First Step: Log into your account  or register  (top right corner of the page)

1. Search Directory for your Business: Search the midtowngrid.com directory to find your business. If it is not yet in our system, please go to "Submit a Business" under the "Directory" link.

2. Claim your business:  Got to your business listing and click on  "Claim your business" (top right corner of your page).  We will verify your request and you will receive approval within 48 hours.

3. Edit profile: Once you have claimed your business, go back to your business listing and select the paper and pencil icon (top right corner  of your page) to begin to develop or edit your company's online page. Here you can upload photos, share your history, post menus, specials and coupons and tell your future customers what you can do for them.

Below are instructions on how to create or edit your profile page.

Create/Edit Your Profile Page

Note: Basic information is free with your listing, while enhanced profile pages with text, pictures, coupons etc is available only to advertising  members.  Contact our office for details (916) 455-0460.

Basic Information

1. Tab Navigation Bar:
Click a tab to navigate to sub-menus without changing web pages.
2. Name: Enter the name of your company, organization, band, etc.
3. Keywords: Choose keywords that will lead the search engines to your site. Include as many as you need, organize the most applicable to the beginning.
4. Title Keywords: A phrase or sentence (incorporating your keywords) explaining what your business/organization does.

Owner and Category

1. Status: Make it available when you are satisfied with the content and identify yourself as the profile owner.
2. Categories: Choose your appropriate categories that apply. This will help midtowngrid.com users find your business. Also be sure to select the appropriate "Grid Scene" for your business (if applicable).

Location

1. Locations Tabs: Add your contact information for your ground or web-based business.
2. New Location: Add additional locations if applicable.
3. Adress and phone
4. Website and email

Hours

1. Hours Tab: edit your business hours for all locations.
** Make sure to select “open” for appropriate days; you can change the times and it will not display unless you are “open”. You can use the Notes section for special hours such as Art Walk.

Premium Features, Profile Text

 
1. Premium Features:  Premium features are part of the membership package. Here is where you add your logo, pictures, text, extra info and coupons.
2. Profile Text: This is where you main text goes. Include an introduction of your business, the history of your company, upcoming events, etc. You can also use the "Extra Info Tab" for menu/specials, services, merchandise and program.

Description Summary

Description (Premium Feature):
Inform the midtowngrid.com community about what you do (remember to keep it brief). This will be displayed at the top of your Profile page in orange and in your directory listing.

Attachments (Images, files)

1. Attachments, Upload Files:
Browse your computer for images and files (such as PDFs) to upload to your user space. Select one of your images as your  "logo".

Profile Photos

Profile Photos: Copy and past the ID number into your two columns and click "attach" for each one. Drag and drop to rearrange the photos as required. (Requires Firefox and JavaScript.). Note: Left column is ideal for landscape images and the right for portrait.
 


Click "Save" at the bottom of the editor page and view your profile. To make changes, just click the editor icon ( pencil and paper image).
