You're invited to come and buy fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables (both conventional and organic) at affordable prices.
2008 marks the Urban Farm Stand’s second year in operation.
Thanks to grants from First 5 Sacramento Commission and
The California Wellness Foundation, the Urban Farm Stand project will not only continue this year,
but is being expanded to two additional communities.
The Alkali/Mansion Flat Urban Farm Stand is operating in its second year, Tuesdays from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.,
continuing through October 28th.
At J. Neely Johnson Park,
516 11th Street, Sacramento 95814 (Between E & F Streets)
featuring: Free Face Painting, Information table by Sacramento Hunger Coalition, craft vendors, Nutrition quizes for a chance to win gift certificates
Now open - 2 new locations! 2201 Northview Drive in South Natomas (Off of Garden Highway near Northgate) - Thursdays, 4-7pm through October. (Turn north from Arden Garden onto Northgate, then take the first left onto Garden Highway. Northview Drive will be on the right).
and
5212 Lemon Hill Avenue outside the Boys and Girls Club (just west of Stockton Boulevard in South Sacramento) - Mondays, 3:30pm - 6:30 pm.
