Green Sacramento, an LLC owned by Josh Daniels, is a local business selling environmentally friendly products for designing, decorating and building homes.
Our Mission
As more and more people become concerned with the health of their indoor environments they can turn to us to fill their ecological as well as their design needs. Our goal is to allow our clients’ homes and businesses to be beautiful, comfortable and healthy while reflecting their individual values. From floor to ceiling, Green Sacramento offers all the facets of this growing industry under one roof. The presence of our centrally located 2000 square foot showroom provides a place where the public can come experience our products and their benefits first hand. Because there are very few green home materials available, we are absolutely unique in the Greater Sacramento Area and in the Central Valley as a whole.

Our Philosophy of Sustainable Living
Renewable resources, such as trees, cotton and bamboo, are resources that can be harvested sustainably--in a way that allows for regeneration and continued supply. For example, bamboo can be replanted and reharvested continuously. Sustainable living describes the way an individual, family or culture lives in harmony with the environment while supporting resources that are harvested sustainably. All aspects of living, from economic to social, are based upon a philosophy of compatibility, interdependence and respect for life as well as a responsibility to future generations. The concept of sustainable living remains the purpose and philosophy of Green Sacramento.
How Green Sacramento Came to Be
Green Sacramento is owned by Josh Daniels. Josh and his family returned to Sacramento in late 2003 after six years of living and working in the Napa and Sonoma wine country. The inspiration for Green Sacramento came when Daniels remodeled his Sacramento area home and experienced difficulty locating environmentally friendly and healthy building materials. With Daniels’ degree in ecology and natural building, he realized that this business was a natural progression. While unique to Sacramento and the Central Valley as a whole, Green Sacramento joins a growing number of green building stores that are opening around the country including two in the Bay area which have both opened over the past two years. |
