About the Ballet
The Sacramento Ballet, founded in 1954, is the only professional resident ballet company in the Sacramento region. The artistic vision of the Ballet, brought to life by Artistic Directors Ron Cunningham and Carinne Binda, is dedicated to developing and sustaining an informed, enthusiastic and broad-based audience for dance and the performing arts, and to increasing accessibility to the arts for the entire community. Over the past 52 years the Company has performed a repertoire of diverse works, contemporary as well as classical, that has endeared them to audiences across the Region.

A Streetcar Named Desire

Set in sultry New Orleans, Tennessee Williams' dark tale of desire is brilliantly captured in Ron Cunningham's retelling of a woman obsessed with fading beauty and fatal attraction.

Trey McIntyre's electrifying Wild Sweet Love stunned audiences last season with its brilliant mix of playful humor, poignant beauty, and athletic prowess. Commanding standing ovations at every performance, this declaration of love demands an encore. Also on the program is George Balanchine's exhuberant Donizetti Variations.
