Over Seven Decades of Excellence SEE MENU BELOW The tradition of fine cuisine at Espanol goes back all the way to 1923, at 114 Jay Street. In 1952 the building on Jay Street was sold and Espanol moved to Old Sacramento into a commercial hotel at 3rd and I Street. The restaurant continued its excellence and in 1959 was bought by Babe Luigiand his brother Mario. They added an Italian flair and in 1965 the redevelopment in Old Sacramento caused the popular restaurant to relocate to it's present location. Today the restaturant continues to be run by the Luigi Family. Babe's three children, Perry, Paula and Karen are proud to serve you in Espanol's friendly atmosphere, which has kept customers happy for three generations.
