KUDOS to MARRS
Awesome project! Obviously someone cared enough to go above and beyond slapping an expedient building downtown. Thank you for creating a beautiful space that invites people to linger, enjoy and be part of the scene.
Very excited for the new Lounge on 20 at the corner of 20th & K to officially open. A great addition to a thriving community and art scene in midtown.
I cannot even imagine what this block used to be like pre-MARRS. In my view life is better on MARRS!
Congratulations and heartfelt thanks for this gift of a project. Kudos to MARRS!
I think the MARRS project should be a prototype for every retail mixed use project in midtown/downtown Sacramento.
A coffee shop, news stand, art gallery, clothing boutique, a couple sit down restaurant/lounges and a quick bite place.
Great mix of tenants that keeps activity going on all day and night.
Well done, Mike Heller, well done.
MARRS Building
I am very proud of who ever had the idea to turn an old state office building into a multi-use hub of activity in the middle of downtown. Kudos!
Someone was thinking on this one.
"Let's put an art gallery (Solomon Dubnick) with some restaurants (Luigi's Slice Pizza, Azul Mexican Food and Tequila Bar) maybe a coffee shop (Peet's Coffee & Tea) a clothing boutique (DV8 Boutiques) and a magazine rack (Newsbeat). Let's put them in a newly renovated state office building that is located in the epicenter of gay night life in Sac that also happens to be ground zero once-a-month for the Second Saturday Art Walk."
"Great! I love it! Let's go with that!"
Who gets the credit on this one? I don't know but I do know who receives the benefits.
All of us.
