Put on your shoes and pack up your soaks, there's often free soap (Tues and Wed night) and socks hanging from a rope, you can join the dirty dozen and do a free load for your cousin, we're very very clean and have even gone green!

You are using green energy when doing your laundry in our facility!

When your week feels too long and your time is running out, don't spend your whole day doing laundry at home. With our triple and fiftytine (5 load) washing machines you do all your laundry in the same amount of time it takes to do one wash and dry at home. Monica, Megan or Marcia will gladly assist you. Someone is always available. We offer drop-off services for a dollar a pound for clothing only, special prices for other items, along with basic alterations. And you are using green energy when doing your laundry in our facility!

How we got started...
Marcia had a dream. It had in it 32 dryers, 30 top loaders, 4 50lb washers and 15 27lb. washers. The dream foretold of a drop off service, and light alterations. She wanted also to promote sustainable living and local art.

Marcia's dream was realized when Launderland opened. With quirky but great customers in a quirky but great strip mall you enter Launderland and find a smiling lady that offers a warm welcome, drop off service, books to read and a free load of laundry after every 12 loads. Local artist Robert Gordon has lined the walls with his widely recognized work and Marcia has added to the art with lines of lonely single socks. The laundry is immaculate, there's plenty of parking and you will always be greeted with a smile.

So put on your shoes and pack up your soaks, there's often free soap (Tues and Wed night) and socks hanging from a rope, you can join the dirty dozen and do a free load for your cousin, we're very very clean and have even gone green!

Prices for coin operated machines:$ 1.75 top loader, $3.50 for triple loader and $5.75 for fifty pounders. Dryers .25 cents for six minutes.

the BEST place in midtown/downtown for laudry service

by SoCap, Sunday 14 of September, 2008 (17:06:06)

I stummbled on this fab business about 2 years ago by simply "googling" laundry service. I live in an apt. downtown and just got so fed up with dealing with waiting for a washer in the basment and having to "go check" every 30 min. Not to mention the cost invovled. Launderland, run by the absolutely, incredible Marcia (and family/employees) is A-1 in service and price. How can you beat $1 a pound (min $10) for someone else to do your laundy... AND fold it!!...... your clothes look like you just bought them when you get them back.

Pluses: the electricity that runs the place is bought from WIND power. And you can choose "Eco" soap for the washing.

Excellent business!!!.... I haven't done my own laundry in 2 years because of Launderland. This place is a definite cool downtown/midtown laundromat...... in addtion to having a wash & fold service.

Just remember, NO debit or credit cards accepted. Cash is King! And tips are graciously accepted.

Free Soap?!?

I thought it was just a gimmick, but there it was. Not even the cheap-o single use. I was impressed. This place is OCD clean. I was looking for lint and found no fuzzy gold anywhere on the premises. The art on the walls and the welcome from the owner makes this possibly the prettiest and friendliest place to do laundry on the grid. They even had free Tootsie Pops. Whoa.
delicious! Furl this! digg this! stumbleupon this!
