IMAGINE ALLEYS - Sacramento

The Urban Design Alliance-Sacramento (UDA) is sponsoring Imagine Alleys:  an event to stimulate active use of our alleys.  Imagine Alleys will occur in the alley  that the L Street Lofts and Zocalo back up to, behind Crepeville and outside Old Soul’s front door.
 
Imagine Alleys will include activities for people of all ages:  exhibits of alley developments completed or proposed in Sacramento, a slide show highlighting active use of alleys around the world, sidewalk chalk art, locally grown fresh  produce, snacks, and live music.  
 
In keeping with a proposed local ordinance that would authorize the naming of Sacramento’s alleys, UDA will give every interested person a chance to suggest a name for his or her favorite alley.  The City Council will hear this ordinance sometime during the month of September.
 
Imagine Alleys will reveal our alleys as a neglected resource.  They can be more than dumpsters and utility conduits. Imagine!
