Saxophonist, Renaldo Crooks has organized two fantastic bands: "Midtown Jazz" and "Midtown Music Makers" that are helping to give Midtown Sacramento that exciting "Bay-Area" feel!
"Midtown Jazz" is a band-duo consisting of Renaldo on tenor sax and accomplished guitarist, Narci Gonzalez. Just the two of them pack quite a punch-- playing a smooth mix of jazz, R&B, soft rock, and some Latin. The band guarantees a fun festive mood for any party or event!
"Midtown Music Makers" is a trio of talented artists consisting of vocalist Susan Tobin, Renaldo on tenor sax, and Gary Yee on guitar. The band plays a variety of songs accompanied by Susan's sultry voice that range from mellow jazz, R&B, soft rock, and some Latin. The band plays music for all occasions: restaurant entertainment, wine tasting events, grand openings, weddings, holiday/private parties, and other special events. |

What a great night!!
I had the pleasure of hearing Midtown Jazz on a Friday night at the MARS building. The music was perfect as I sat with my friends and enjoyed a cocktail at the restaurant next door. I’ve heard them play a couple of times since then- they have a consistent sound and deliver quality jazz music. Midtown Jazz is a great addition to the midtown scene!
Outstanding Performance!
We recently had the honor of Midtown Jazz performing at our Charity Wine event at the L Street Wine Lounge.
They played an array of music and we received many compliments on their performance. This is definitely the
group to perform at any party. Pleasant sound, yet not overbearing as guests mingle.
