The California Earth Day Run & Walk will be a great event for runners, walkers and kids. It should be a green Spring in Discovery Park, where the American River meets the Sacramento River. Help us raise money for environmental education, conservation, and restoration efforts in the Greater Sacramento area. Please also consider bringing a lunch and helping with the river clean-up.
5k/10k awards will be presented to the overall male and female winner and top three in
each age category.
Registration and Entry Fees
Prior to Friday April 12th entry fees are:
$25 for the 5/10 k Run or Walk
$12 for the Kid’s Fun Run

7:30-9:00 a.m. Registration/Packet pick-up
8:30 a.m. Start, 1/2-mile fun run for kids 7-9
8:45 a.m. Start, 1-mile fun run for kids 10-12
9:15 a.m. Start, 5k/10k run (wave starts)
9:30 a.m. Start, 5k/10k walk (wave starts)
10:45 a.m. Kids award ceremony
11:00 a.m. 5k/10 k awards ceremony
12:00-3:00 River clean-up for Earth Day

Discovery Park is located beside I-5 in downtown Sacramento. From I-5 take the Richards Blvd. off- ramp then go west to get to the South entrance of the park, or follow the Garden Highway exit east from I-5 to find the North entrance. Signs denote the park’s location from I-5.
