Good news for Sacramento’s hip set: you can now carefully craft your mid-century modern digs without going to San Francisco. Brand new Bows and Arrows—from the folks who brought you Olipom boutique and the Pretty Trashy clothing line—is an enormous showroom of vintage clothing and furniture. Details are still in the works for their official launch party on the evening of December 1, but co-founder Trisha Rhomberg says the store will be “open late” that night with refreshments, music and a sale. (We’ll keep you posted). Bows and Arrows is already open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at 1712 L Street, (916) 444-3606. So get off your couch and go (sit on theirs). more |

Clothing is great, the furniture is even better
Clothing for the brave
Alright... So if you're looking to dress outside of your box but don't want to spend an arm and a leg I totally recommend Bows and Arrows. I bought this crazy purple chiffon dress and large purple waist belt about three months ago. I had not been brave enough to wear the ensemble until last Second Saturday and 5 glasses of wine. I got like 3 complements! It was great. I loved the store; please shop here and keep this business thriving!
bows and arrows rules!!!
i love this store, i pop in about once a week to see whats new! the people who work there are always so so nice to me, and they always are getting new things. they have great deals, so i know i wont be over paying!

Could be a midtown classic....
This is a great little (I mean big) thrift store, mostly catering to the 70's and 80's genre. This place is huge for a midtown shop, but I worry that if they don't carry more merch they may not stay (tears...). They have a nice mix of furniture, clothing and jewelry. The A/C goes strong, cool music in the background and lots of easy and free parking in the lot right next door (park under the tree near the fence!). I found a really nice faux alligator handbag to use for a trip....I love it and it got compliments right away....Only Ten Bucks!!!! Thanks Bows and Arrows, I will try my best to keep you in business!
All your vintage finds
Bows and Arrows, run by Trisha of Pretty Trashy and Olivia of Olipom is a relief for those of us that took the 80 out to get the good stuff. Now we can find our parents and grandparents greatest threads and furniture in our own backyard. Don't forget to wind your way through the back hallway to find the mini thrift scores of Ye Olde Junkie Shoppe. Wind a couple feet more and buy a scooter.
