Over the past 27 years, Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club has been home to the best in the stand-up comedy business. Under the tutelage of owner/booker Steve Grove, the club has established itself as one of the premier comedy venues in the country.
As the twelfth longest running comedy club in the nation, Laughs Unlimited has been instrumental in helping to build the careers of many comedic legends.
The club's "walls of shame" are covered with headshots including Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Dana Carvey, Yakov Smirnoff, George Wallace, Harry Anderson, Bob Saget, Dennis Miller, and Paul Reiser, all of whom cut their teeth on Laugh's stage. With a dedication to the art of stand-up comedy, the stage is still home to many famous and soon-to-be famous comedians. Kevin Pollak, Michael Winslow, Shawn Wayans, Alonzo Bodden, Jack Gallagher, and so many others still consider Laughs Unlimited to be their Sacramento comedy home.
With a full bar, great food, side-splitting entertainment, and upscale ambience, Laughs Unlimited is the complete package. Shows run Thursday through Sunday nights, with two shows on Friday and Saturday. Laughs also hosts a local comedy showcase the first Wednesday of each month. LU is always fun. I never know who any of the comedians are, but they always end up being great. The drinks are small, but if you order the right thing, they are strong. The venue is great about supporting the community too; they are allowing our Team in Training group to do a benefit night that is helping us out a lot to raise some money. they are awesome!
Never seen a bad show here.... the bartenders were friendly and attentive, mixing up some yummy drinks. The comedy line up is usually top notch and will have you going home with a sore stomach and face.... if you don't want to be razzed don't sit near the front. :D have fun!
