The Return of Jedi: Playing With Fire 

During the hot Sacramento summer, Jedidius “Jedi” Baldridge welds steel plates for road construction. Manipulating molten metal, he meditates under the intense heat, conjuring the near hallucinatory visions depicted in his art. With this vehicle of inspiration, he manipulates color contrast, mode of transfer, and broken borders to define his pieces. Texture is burned right into the panels and forms flickering, wispy shapes that writhe like the sun reflected off asphalt. Cool relief is but a brief mirage on the horizon. 

The artist’s reception will be from Six pm to 9pm, during our extended hours on the Second Saturday. The event is FREE, friendly, and fun!
