A Note from Shawn for Mayor
Hey there Gridsters,
What can I say? We're fascinated by anyone running a grassroots campaign outside of the establishment.
The Guru also ponders the Bee's editorial request to vote outside of the mainstream top 2 in order to force a run-off where ideas might matter more and the people could actually debate the relative merits of the candidates. Does time make a difference?
Here's some instructions from Shawn Eldredge:
"I would like to make a good push this weekend. We are going to be strategically placing signs in key places throughout the weekend, 100 of them. My fiancé and I have spent $700 to date (plus our friends website fee 10$ a month) and it is important to me I don’t go over the $1,000 threshold (don’t want to set up a committee, a bank account, etc,) We can have a few more printed & on the porch, but would really like you all to just print a few on your home pc and place them anywhere you feel comfortable, and would be willing to take down after Tues. This has been a great start for campaigns that don’t spend millions. The support has been overwhelming. I believe we will make a great statement Tuesday, about wanting to discuss real issues and change the political landscape.

Remember to vote tomorrow.
