Ever wanted to hold a "fallen star", see craters on the moon or find out what's really happening on the surface of the sun? Join the Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society as we present our annual celebration of astronomy and science in conjunction with the Orangevale Park and Recreation District. You can watch the sun safely through scopes set up outside, see a planetarium show, a Tesla Coil demonstration, check out meteorites, microscopes and other displays, kids can make their own telescopes, and more! This event is free to the public. Saturday, May 10, Noon- 6pm, with an evening star party after dark Orangevale Community Center, 6826 Hazel Avenue, 95662
