Keeping up with the Joneses... and how your health plays a role

by Fountain of Health Wednesday 24 of September, 2008 Posted to Health/Wellness

Our health and wellness is at the forefront of our minds on a daily basis. We make mindful decisions about the food we eat, the way we exercise [or not!], the latest and greatest in weight loss and nutritional supplements, etc. Because this is the only body we get, there are a few ways we can help keep ourselves healthy [and lose that pesky ten pounds we can't seem to get rid of].

As part of our comittment to your health, the Fountain of Health is bringing you a weekly FAQ blog all about your body! Since we are the premier place for colonics, we can start there.

Who does colonics? I eat well and exercise, so why would I need colonics?
-Everyone does colonics! Colon cleansing has been around since 1500 BCE. Many cultures and societies believe a clean colon can enhance the health of the individual, starting thousands of years ago with the simple enema and evolving into the present day colonic. With so many toxins in our food supply, our environment, and in our skincare products, the body has become overloaded with too much! Our body has an amazing capability for healing and detoxification, but can only handle so much extra junk. When we constantly bombard ourselves, our body reacts by taking away our natural energy (three cups of coffee every morning is NOT natural!), giving us aches, pains, and that all-over crummy feeling, and adding on those pounds that don't seem to go away. Just because we make good decisions about our health now doesn't mean we always have. Out with the old and in with the new you!
